Google recently released a new web-based version of Google Earth with some great new features. Here’s a blog I wrote to explain the new look. One of those great new features is the Voyager tour written by Google partners. Right now, we can’t create our own tours without a little help from our friends. One of those friends is Josh Williams of geteach.com. He created a web app that will combine locations, images, links and anything else you want to add to a New Google Earth tour. All of the information can be downloaded into a KML file which can then be uploaded into other people’s individual GE site. It’s a great resource, but I’ll let him explain it. Check the comments for some ideas about how to share the finished tours with your students. Enjoy!
